Winter Maintenance Zones activate Tuesday November 13

(Fort McMurray, AB – November 9, 2018) - Winter Maintenance Zones will be active starting Tuesday, November 13, including all four subzones and on-street parking restrictions.

When Winter Maintenance Zones are activated, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., one day a week, you will not be permitted to park on your residential street. Residents can identify their zone and subzone by checking the signage along their residential street, by reviewing the mapping provided on the municipal website, or by using the Find Your Zone tool at rmwb.ca/snowplow

Residents are responsible for complying with parking regulation as set out in the Roads and Transportation Bylaw No. 02/079. Parking tickets and towing fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. All towing information can be found at rmwb.ca/snowplow.

The Municipality’s priority is to inform and educate residents about the program and to facilitate on-street parking restrictions so that residents can avoid being ticketed or towed.

Motorists are advised to follow road equipment from a safe stopping distance and to allow space for visibility.
