Winter Maintenance public engagement extended

(Fort McMurray, AB – April 23, 2020) – The online Winter Maintenance public engagement has been extended to April 30, to provide more time for residents to share their thoughts on how snow is cleared and removed from streets in Fort McMurray.

Residents can fill out a Winter Maintenance Zone (WMZ) survey and share feedback in an online forum about winter maintenance on streets not included in the WMZ program. To fill out the online survey and leave feedback, visit participate.rmwb.ca

How to provide feedback:

  • Taking the WMZ Survey!
  • Joining the discussions happening about maintenance on Primary, Secondary & Tertiary routes, windrows or the Winter Maintenance Zone (WMZ) program.
  • Sharing stories of a job well done by your neighbourhood snowplow drivers.

The information gathered from residents will be used to assess winter maintenance on roads in Fort McMurray and guide potential changes to strengthen and refine the program.

Learn about the WMZ program, public engagement, on-street parking restrictions, FAQs and more at rmwb.ca/snowplow.
