igNIGHT: Art Illuminated

igNIGHT is a temporary public art exhibition championed by Public Art Wood Buffalo. Now in its sixth year, igNIGHT aims to inspire public art initiatives that engage the interest and imagination of the general public using illuminated artworks at the heart of the exhibition.

2021 Curatorial Theme – International Year of Fruits and Vegetables

igNIGHT 2021 is aligning with the declaration made by the United Nations General Assembly that 2021 is the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables (#IYFV2021)! This declaration builds awareness on the important role fruits and vegetables have in nutrition, food security and human and planetary health. It also aims to promote the reduction of food loss and waste and encourage sustainability and safety of the food chain process. To learn more about the declaration, visit the International Fruits and Vegetable website.
