Artist Concept
In its simplest definition, sacred geometry is the meanings ascribed to specific mathematical shapes and proportions. These sacred geometric patterns exist all around us - they are the perfect shapes and patterns that form the fundamental templates for life in the universe. Like the unique shape of a snowflake, the spiral of a shell, and the concentric circles of a tree stump, geometry is observed in our everyday life. These natural designs are also found in the foods we eat and the ecosystem that supports them.
This installation is hexagonal in shape paying homage to the honeycomb of the bee. Each of the six panels showcases specific designs associated with the key messages of the United Nation’s declaration of International Year of Fruit and Vegetables. My primary focus with this art piece is to be a technological conduit for messaging and bring awareness to the importance of fruits and vegetables, their global accessibility, sustainable production, and their essential benefits to human nutrition.
