Emergency Alerts

Stay aware and stay safe by subscribing to the emergency alert systems available to you.

Municipal Alerts

Alertable emergency notifications
You can now sign up for emergency alerts from the Municipality by downloading an Alertable smartphone app.

Alertable is a third party platform that allows the Municipality to send local emergency alerts to community members who have downloaded the app.

How to get alerts

Download the free Alertable app for iOS and Android smartphones, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant home devices. Then, select your location in the region. If there is an active emergency near you, you will receive Municipal emergency notifications through Alertable.

Notifications are fast, reliable, private and easy to hear, see and read.

Provincial Alerts

The Government of Alberta operates the Alberta Emergency Alert system. This provides critical alerts to individuals in the event of immediate disasters. Alerts are sent out through radio, television, internet, RSS feed, social media, road signage and the Alberta Emergency Alert App.
