Road maintenance will continue as needed on primary, secondary and tertiary streets
All subzones are relaxed March 10 -14. This means there will be no on-street WMZ parking restrictions during this time.
Crews will continue maintenance as needed on the busier streets in town while ensuring catch basins are clear to help prevent water accumulating on roads as snow melts.
Remove collection bins from the curb
Keep streets clear and accessible for vehicles, pedestrians and maintenance crews. Curbside collection bins must be removed from the street the same day they are picked up.
Winter Maintenance Zone reminders
- Every residential street in Fort McMurray has been assigned a subzone and one designated weekday for maintenance. You can find this information on posted street signage or by using the Find Your Zone tool.
- For everyone’s safety, please do not approach equipment on the roadway and give space to crews where maintenance is happening.
Read the winter maintenance brochure for a simple and more comprehensive overview of how winter maintenance is done in Fort McMurray.
