Updates to routes 8, 9, 10, 11, 17 and 42 take effect Dec. 1
Starting Friday, Dec. 1, RMWB Transit is adjusting some routes and adding additional trips to improve service in the community and respond to rider feedback.
More evening routes and frequent service
- To address concerns with the lack of evening service, additional evening trips will be added to routes 10, 17 and 42.
- To improve the frequency of service along Franklin Ave., Route 11 trip times will be realigned to depart hourly.
What exactly can riders expect?
Route 8 – Beacon Hill Drive
- All Saturday and Sunday trips will depart one hour earlier, running from 08:00 to 18:00, to provide better connections to Route 7 – Abasand Heights and Route 10 – Gregoire and Prairie Creek.
Route 9 – Morgan and Harpe Heights
- All daily trips will depart on the hour:
- From Monday to Friday, service will run from 06:00 to 20:00.
- On Saturday and Sunday, trips will run at 09:00, 10:00, 18:00 and 19:00.
School Route 9 – Holy Trinity PM
- The 15:10 trip will no longer be in service. Riders can use the regular Route 9 at 15:09.
Route 10 – Gregoire and Prairie Creek
- Three new trips will operate from Main Terminal to Gregoire and Prairie Creek at 06:00, 7:30 and 22:00 from Monday to Friday.
- Two new trips will operate at 06:00 and 20:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Route 11 – Fort McMurray International Airport
- All daily trips will depart 30 minutes after the hour:
- From Monday to Friday, service will run from 05:30 to 22:30.
- On Saturday and Sunday, service will run from 06:30 to 22:30.
Route 17 – Parsons Creek
- Four new trips will operate from Timberlea Terminal to Parsons Creek at 20:00, 21:00, 22:00 and 23:00 from Monday to Friday.
Route 42 – Stone Creek Village
- Three new trips will operate from Timberlea Terminal to Stone Creek Village at 20:30, 21:30 and 22:30 from Monday to Friday.
