Draper flood accommodation update
At the January 23, 2023 meeting, Council asked Administration to bring forward by March 14:
- A household flood risk reduction grant program for eligible properties within the community of Draper.
- possible voluntary buyout option(s) for properties in Draper below the 1-in-200-year flood elevation level for Council’s consideration.
Off-highway vehicle use in Fort McMurray
- Administration will be providing Council with information on the legalities of OHV use in the urban service area.
- The Urban Service Area OHV Strategic Plan was presented to Council in 2022 and includes recommendations related to OHV use in Fort McMurray. One of the key recommendations is to conduct a thorough assessment of OHV use in the urban service area before any changes are made. The information being presented to Council is part of this initial assessment.
