To keep transit safe, it is strongly recommended that everyone wear a mask when using public transit.
Starting Aug. 31, students in grades 4 to 12 will be required to wear a mask while taking public transit to and from school. This aligns with the Government of Alberta’s school re-entry plan for the 2020-21 school year.
Masks are available on buses
Packages of non-medical masks are available on all RMWB transit buses. You can pick up a package from the bag located near the rear door.
Other COVID-19 precautions
Riders using buses and bus shelters should use caution and use these amenities responsibly.
Anyone using these spaces must follow public health guidelines, including the following.
- Stay home if you feel sick.
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Refrain from touching your face with unwashed hands.
Fees will continue to be waived and rear door entry will continue on all RMWB transit buses. Increased cleaning and prevention measures remain in place.
