Community comes together for fifth annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign
Santas Anonymous received over $2,000 in gift cards, almost 1,000 new toys and $300 in online donations – all thanks to the residents, businesses, organizations and schools who participated in this year’s Stuff-A-Bus event.
On Friday, Dec. 11, Transit Services, along with Mix 103.7 and 100.5 Cruz FM, visited participating Stuff-A-Bus locations to collect donations. They were joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus, who took a break from Christmas preparations at their workshop to spread some holiday cheer.
“Even though this year may have been one of the toughest for our community, people came through as they always have,” said Jennifer Pope, director of the local Santas Anonymous campaign. “We are so grateful and honoured that this community continues to support us.”
All donations to Santa Anonymous, a student-led initiative at Father Mercredi High School, will be delivered to families in need throughout the region this holiday season.
