Safely enjoy the sights and sounds of the Canada Day Parade on July 1 at 10:30 a.m.
Canada Day is almost here! July 1 will be a day filled with exciting community events and activities for all ages. Show your Canadian spirit by wearing red, white and orange, and brighten up the community by decorating your home with lights and Canada Day displays.
Know the route and how to stay safe
The Canada Day Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Main St. and Franklin Ave. The parade will travel south along Franklin Ave. and finish at the corner of Riedel St. and Clearwater Drive.
For everyone’s safety, remember to enjoy the parade from the sidewalk and stay behind the barricades at all times. Follow the direction of officials and volunteers and avoid crossing the street once the road is closed.
After the parade, be patient as roads gradually reopen.
A sensory-friendly parade celebration
Main Street is designated as a Sensory Friendly Block from 10:15 to 10:30 a.m. This space is for community members who prefer a quieter, calmer parade experience.
During this time, floats and walking groups will turn off their music, sirens and other loud sounds along this part of the route.
