Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo is fortunate to have many individuals, groups and organizations who give their time and energy to make positive contributions in the community. Residents can recognize and thank these outstanding community members by submitting nominations for Council’s Excellence Awards.
Mayor and Councillors will choose award recipients whose impact foster a culture of home and belonging in the region and represent the qualities in each of the four categories.
“We encourage everyone to think about the great people that are contributing so much to our region, and to nominate them for one of these awards,” said Mayor Sandy Bowman. “There are so many incredible individuals and groups all across the region that deserve to be recognized for what they’re doing to make our home such a great place to live.”
