
RMWB seeking public feedback on new Municipal Development Plan
The RMWB today announced the launch of Phase 2 Public Engagement for the new Municipal Development Plan, known as MDP. This phase of Public Engagement will run from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28.
The MDP reflects current social, cultural, and economic conditions in the region to help provide a community vision that works for all residents.
A draft of the MDP overview is available to view at participate.rmwb.ca/mdp.
The MDP Process
In MDP Phase 1 Public Engagement, the RMWB received feedback to craft the primary vision and strategic directions for the future of the RMWB.
This MDP Phase 2 of Public Engagement will help the RMWB in confirming the vision statement, the directions, and the focus of the MDP to shape the Region.
Participation options
During the month of February, the RMWB will be holding two virtual open houses and hosting an online survey.
The first virtual open house on Wednesday, February 10 will be held at 6 p.m. and focuses on development for urban areas. The second virtual open house on Thursday, February 18 will be held at 6 p.m. and focus on the impact on rural communities.

Residents are also invited to participate in an online survey. The online survey will be open from February 1st-28th, 2021.
