The RMWB invites the public to provide their feedback on the design of the Snye Point Outdoor Event Space as part of waterfront park planning and revitalization.
The Waterfront Park Planning and Revitalization Project is divided into two priorities. The first priority will focus on the design and construction of the year-round Snye Point Outdoor Event Space in 2021. The second priority will focus on the remaining design and construction of the Waterfront Park project land and public engagement for the second priority will occur later in 2021.
Based on initial stakeholder engagement, the Municipality heard that the Snye Point Outdoor Event Space should be designed as an interactive year-round space with residents and visitors in mind. The space should honour the history of our region while also providing a deeper connection to the nature that surrounds us. Additionally, connections to recreational and play areas should be enhanced and spaces for public art and cultural recognition included.
Public Participation Options
Beginning today, the public can visit rmwb.ca/waterfront for a comprehensive view of the project, two initial concepts for priority area one by participating in an online survey.
The website also offers the opportunity to submit feedback. The deadline for submissions is March 28, 2021.
The RMWB will be hosting two virtual open houses on the project.
