Register a float or walking group in the Santa Claus Parade
The Santa Claus Parade and Council’s Starry Night holiday party are back on Dec. 7.
Santa and his helpers are busy getting ready for these festive celebrations in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo – and are looking for help from you!
Float registration now open
Local businesses, social profits and groups are encouraged to show their community spirit and spread the holiday cheer by registering floats and walking groups for the Santa Claus Parade on Dec. 7.
Register your float or group by Nov. 25 at rmwb.ca/santa.
Help spread holiday cheer while fundraising
The parade and holiday party are offering multiple opportunities to raise funds for local non-profit community organizations and groups. Fundraising opportunities are available for groups of 10 to 20 people.

Join Council for a hot chocolate before finding a spot to enjoy the parade
Start your holiday celebrations with Council’s Starry Night holiday party at 5 p.m. in kiyām Community Park. Connect with members of Council, grab a hot chocolate and watch live performances and the tipi and tree lighting.
Find a spot downtown and enjoy the Santa Claus Parade at 6 p.m. The parade will travel down Franklin Ave., beginning on Main St. and ending on Riedel St.
For community members seeking a sensory-friendly parade experience, line the sidewalk along Main St. from 6 to 6:15 p.m.
