Change to service result of GoA restrictions on in-person learning
With students in grades 7 to 12 moving to distance learning on Nov. 30, Transit Services will be temporarily cancelling all school special routes until in-person learning resumes on Jan. 11, 2021.
On Nov. 24, the Government of Alberta declared a state of public health emergency and announced additional measures to protect the health system and reduce the continued spread of COVID-19.
These restrictions include limits to in-person learning. They also include limits on public and private social gatherings, temporary closures of some businesses and additional restrictions for several businesses, including but not limited to retail stores, recreation centres, entertainment services and restaurants.
All Government of Alberta restrictions can be found online at alberta.ca/covid19.
