Donations collected by RMWB Transit for eighth annual Stuff-A-Bus toy drive
Two RMWB Transit buses loaded with toys and gifts for Santas Anonymous arrived at Father Patrick Mercredi Community High School on Friday, Dec. 8.
Members of Council, Santa and Buddy the Elf join “Stuffing Day”
Earlier in the day, Transit Services staff, Father Mercredi students and Rock 97.9 and Country 93.3 were joined by Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf as they visited each registered Stuff-A-Bus participant to spread holiday cheer and collect donations.
In the afternoon, members of Council met the jolly crew at Father Mercredi to help unload the busloads of toys and gifts for Santas Anonymous.
Volunteers and students will now sort and wrap all the donations from the eighth annual Stuff-A-Bus toy drive to provide gifts for local children and families this holiday season.
Thank you to participating organizations and dedicated volunteers
“The annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign is always such a great example of what makes this region such an incredible place,” said Mayor Sandy Bowman. “It comes as no surprise that we again had so many people and organizations supporting the cause, and I am deeply appreciative of everyone that took time to help families and children again this year.”
This year, the Stuff-A-Bus toy drive began on Nov. 14 and saw 30 organizations register to collect donations for Santas Anonymous.
