Watch for no-parking signs this weekend as crews clear and remove snow from primary, secondary and tertiary streets
Subzones 1 and 2 will be active for snow removal operations Feb. 10 - 14, with on-street parking restrictions in effect.
Snow removal takes longer than snow plowing, as a result some streets in an active subzone may not be completed in one activation. These streets are tracked and scheduled for future maintenance.
Subzones 3 and 4 are relaxed. When subzones are relaxed, on-street parking restrictions are not in effect and vehicles may park on the street. Subzones are typically activated on a bi-weekly schedule, with Subzones 3 and 4 expected to be active the week of Feb. 17 - 21.
Watch for no-parking signs
Snow clearing and removal will continue on primary, secondary and tertiary streets focusing on school zones this weekend. Temporary no-parking signs will be placed 24 hours in advance where snow removal is scheduled on streets not included in the WMZ program.
After 24 hours, on-street parking restrictions will be in effect and parked vehicles must be removed from the street until the signs are taken away.
Expect to see crews at work on the following streets:
- Cardinal Drive
- Tundra Drive
- Eymundson Road
- Wolverine Drive
- Morrison Street
- Abasand Drive
- Athabasca Avenue
- Gregoire Drive
- Greely Road
Snow Shoveling reminders
Residents are responsible for removing snow and ice from sidewalks adjacent to their property within 48 hours of a snowfall. Please do not shovel snow onto the street or into the middle of a cul-de-sac. This can cause problems with garbage and recycling collection, create large ruts and may block storm drains. Shovel snow to the sides of your driveway instead.
