Beginning Dec. 5, vehicles will be stored at 133 MacDonald Crescent in Gregoire Industrial Park
Winter is well underway and WMZ on-street parking restrictions, including ticketing and towing are in effect. Please remember to check the status of your Subzone every week to avoid unnecessary costs. Crews need your support following parking restrictions to clear snow and keep streets safe.
Winter Maintenance Subzones 1 & 2 are active Dec. 2-6. Subzones 3 & 4 are relaxed. An update on the status of subzones for Dec. 9 -13 will be shared on Friday.
Towed vehicles can be picked up at 133 MacDonald Cres, starting Dec. 5.
The Municipality would much rather educate residents about on-street parking restrictions than ticket and tow vehicles. Towing services are provided by FMG Energy Services, an independent, third-party company. The Municipality does not receive any revenue from towing.
Beginning Thursday, Dec. 5, all parked vehicles that have been removed from active subzones can be picked up at 133 MacDonald Cres. This includes vehicles that were towed prior to Thursday.
FMG Energy Service’s impound lot on Airport Rd./Hwy. 69 will no longer be used. The change of location will reduce the time it takes for residents to pick up their vehicles.

Arrangements can be made to pick up a vehicle after hours by calling FMG Energy Services.
Winter Maintenance Zone reminders
- Every residential street in Fort McMurray has been assigned a subzone and one designated weekday for maintenance. You can find this information on posted street signage or by using the Find Your Zone tool.
- For the weeks when your subzone is active, on-street parking restrictions are in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. only on your one designated day for maintenance.
- For everyone’s safety, please do not approach equipment on the roadway and give space to crews where maintenance is happening.
