Thank you for helping clear a path through winter!
Today marks the end of another successful winter maintenance season!
At the end of March, 404,695 cubic metres of snow had been removed from Fort McMurray streets and brought to the Tower Road Snow Disposal Site—equivalent to approximately 162 Olympic-sized swimming pools. These ongoing efforts are essential to keep the roads safe and clear.
Thank you to winter maintenance crews and residents
A huge Thank you goes out to the winter maintenance crews for your dedication and hard work throughout the season.
Many thanks as well to residents for staying on top of WMZ alerts and parking restrictions. Your cooperation plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly during the winter season.
Street sweeping is now underway
With warmer weather arriving, crews have begun street sweeping and will continue monitoring for street flooding, making sure storm drains remain clear for proper drainage.
