Poverty and Homelessness Awareness Week Oct 15th-22nd

October 17th is the United Nation’s international Day for the Eradication of Poverty, and it is celebrated throughout the world. The 2019 Theme is Acting together to empower children, their families, and communities to end poverty. 

The Wood Buffalo Poverty Reduction Network and Community Plan on Homelessness Agencies will be holding a series of events and activities for the week of Oct 15th-22nd proclaimed as Poverty and Homelessness Awareness Week.

To strengthen public understanding of the state of poverty and homelessness in our region and to encourage action by individuals, communities, and organisations to alleviate it.
