Alberta Culture Days

Alberta Culture Days 2020: September 1-30

Each year during the last weekend of September, Alberta Culture Days offers free, participatory events and programs that invite the public to discover, experience and celebrate the arts and culture in their communities. 

This year, Alberta Culture Days has been extended beyond the traditional weekend to a 4-week interactive, immersive arts and culture experience taking place from September 1 to 30.Events will be offered indoors, outdoors and online!

Everyone can play a role in the Culture Days!

Do you have an idea for a free, participatory or interactive event?  Submit an Event/ Activity Proposal.

Are you a venue operator? Offer the use of your space! Submit a Venue Registration.

Are you an artist looking to participate in an event? Register here.


There are two funding opportunities available this year for organizers of Alberta Culture Days in Wood Buffalo events:

1. To be included in the provincial Alberta Culture Days Grant application, you must submit a completed Event/Activity Proposal by Friday, July 10, 2020.

2. To be considered for funding provided by the Arts Council Wood Buffalo (through the Community Investment Program), you must submit a completed Event/Activity Proposal by Friday, August 14, 2020. 

Funding will be distributed based on eligibility and in order of applications received. The maximum request is $500.
