Are you passionate about arts and culture? Want to discover new experiences? Celebrate culture in Wood Buffalo during Alberta Culture Days. 

Event Dates

September 28 - 30, 2018

Our region has participated in this annual, province-wide celebration of arts and culture since 2009. During this three-day event, arts and cultural groups and organizations host free, family-friendly activities that invite the public to come together to discover arts, culture and heritage in their community.

The following organizations are hosting free events for Alberta Culture Days:

Oil Sands Discovery Centre
Regional Recreation Corporation
Theatre; Just Because
Wood Buffalo Artisans Society

Alberta Culture Days started in 2008 as Alberta Arts Day – one day to recognize the value of the province’s arts and cultural communities, with 100 events held in 30 communities. Since then, it has expanded into an annual three-day celebration.

Alberta Culture Days inspired the creation of Culture Days — a pan-Canadian movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural lives of their communities.
