    A public Hearing is scheduled for July 14, regarding redesignating a portion of land described as Lot 26, Block 3, Plan 982 5392 (the “Subject Property”), known as 125 McDermont Avenue, located in Fort Chipewyan, from PS-Public Service District to HC Hamlet Commercial District and to include a site-specific LUB amendment to add the use of “Commercial Guest Accommodation” as a discretionary use in the HC – Hamlet Commercial District. 

  • Updated Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw 26/012

    At the June 23rd Council Meeting, Council of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo deferred the Public Hearing to Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., regarding a proposed change is to remove the date restriction on the campground use as described in the DC-C4 – Direct Control Highway Commercial District.

    A Public Hearing is scheduled for June 9, 2026, regarding current zoning within the IM - Medium Industrial District. Proposes a text amendment to section 6.19 of Land Use bylaw (LUB) No. 26/001 to add "Drive Through" as a discretionary use within the IM - Medium Industrial District.

    A Public Hearing is scheduled for May 26, 2026, regarding text amendments to the portable sign regulations within Land Use Bylaw No. 26/001. 

     

  • Notice of Public Hearing – Bylaw No. 26/012

    A Public Hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2026, regarding a proposed change to remove the date restriction on the campground use as described in the DC-C4 – Direct Control Highway Commercial District. This amendment specifically affects the operation of an existing campground located on the parcel legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Plan 0223773, municipally addressed as 395 Sakitawaw Trail, operating as Centennial Campground.

    A Public Hearing is scheduled for May 19th, 2026, at the Anzac Recreation Centre located at 237 Stony Mountain Road regarding a portion of  SW ¼ 21-86-7 W4M, described as Provincial Disposition no. PLS250014.

    A Public Hearing is scheduled for April 28, 2026, regarding a site-specific Land Use Amendment that proposes to add “Resort Facility” and “Retail, General” as Discretionary Uses to the UE – Urban Expansion District. 

  • Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw No. 26/005

    A Public Hearing is scheduled for March 24, 2026, regarding redesignating a portion of land described as Lot 2, Block 1, Plan 082 0549, from Highway Commercial district to Heavy Industrial District.
