Santa Claus Parade 2022

The Santa Claus Parade warmed the streets on Dec. 3

Friends, family and neighbours came together to celebrate the holidays at the Santa Claus Parade this past weekend. The lights, the floats and the people warmed the streets with holiday cheer.

Congratulations favourite float winners!

Based on community vote the following float favourites will be rewarded $1,000. Commercial group winners will donate their prize winnings to a social profit organization of their choice!

Will the 2022 Santa Claus Parade be a traditional parade? 

Yes, the 2022 Santa Claus Parade is returning to Franklin Avenue as a traditional parade. Starting at the intersection of Riedel Street and Clearwater Drive, the parade will procced towards Franklin Avenue, travel north to Main Street and will end at the intersection of Main Street and Clearwater Drive. 

Is there a cost to attend the Santa Claus Parade?
No, there is no cost to attend.
When does registration open to submit a float in the Santa Claus Parade? 
Float registration is open November 1 – 21 for the 2022 Santa Claus Parade. 
What is the process to register a float in the parade? 
First, review the float rules and regulations, then complete the online application. Be sure to submit the required insurance documentation with your application. 
Is there a cost to register a float in the Santa Claus Parade?
No, there is no cost to register a float in the Santa Claus Parade. 
What happens if it’s too cold to have the parade? 

The 2022 Santa Claus Parade will be cancelled if the temperatures are colder than -30.

Will there be volunteer opportunities for the Santa Claus Parade?
Yes! Volunteer recruitment will launch on November 7. Check back for registration details.
Will there be opportunities to fundraise?

If you have a group of 20 people or more that are part of a non-profit, or are supporting a non-profit, you can raise money for the organization and have fun at the same time! These specific opportunities will launch on November 7. Check back for registration details.
