A Public Hearing is scheduled for November 10, 2026, regarding proposed amendments that will provide greater certainty for applicants, property owners, businesses, the development industry, and Administration while removing unnecessary regulatory barriers. 

Through collaboration and engagement, the Committee will help advance regional priorities and strengthen connections with Indigenous communities, neighbouring municipalities and other levels of government.

Council approved several amendments to the Roads and Transportation Bylaw, including updates to dangerous goods routes, ticketing and towing measures, restrictions for tracking material onto roadways and e-scooter enforcement. These updates support the safe and effective use of municipal roadways, public spaces and transportation corridors.

Council has approved updates to the Urban Snow and Ice Control Program Policy that will help crews clear streets faster, improve public information, and reduce delays caused by illegally parked vehicles. 

TAKE NOTICE that an appeal has been filed regarding the approval of a hen license at 164 Snowy Owl Way, Fort McMurray, AB. The Community Standards Appeal Committee will hold a hearing to review the appeal on October 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
