New Holiday Lights Map will showcase displays while collecting nominations and votes
The annual holiday edition of Nominate Your Neighbour is back! And this year, we’re introducing an interactive map that allows you to nominate and vote for your favourite festive displays across the region. This map can also be used to plan a fun, jolly evening checking out holiday decorations and displays in your neighbourhood.
So, when you spot businesses or homes with festive light displays and decorations that put you in the holiday spirit, say thank you by participating in the Nominate Your Neighbour program!
Nominate online using the Holiday Lights Map
Nominating is easy! Follow these four simple steps to recognize the efforts of homes and businesses in the region:
- Visit rmwb.ca/NYN.
- Click ‘Add Marker’ on the Holiday Lights Map.
- Enter the address of the home or business you are nominating.
- Fill out a short nomination form and upload a clear landscape-oriented photo.
Nominations will be accepted until Dec.18.
Vote for your favourite displays
A new feature of this year’s Nominate Your Neighbour campaign is the ability to vote for your favourite holiday displays! Simply browse the Holiday Lights Map and vote for the displays that fill you with holiday cheer.
Voting closes Dec. 31.
You can find the location of outstanding holiday displays through the map and plan a fun, festive evening checking them out. You’ll also be able to discover some of the beautifully decorated municipal spaces that RMWB Parks, Roads and Rural Operations staff have created throughout the region – from Fort Chipewyan to Conklin.
