Standards and Guidelines
The Design Servicing Standards and Development Procedures (DSS) and Standard Construction Specifications (SCS) have been prepared for the benefit of developers, consulting engineers, contractors, and other interested parties to provide procedures and standards on the development of land and the construction of public and private infrastructure in the region.
Design Servicing Standards and Development Procedures (DSS)
Previously known as the Engineering Servicing Standards, the DSS establish the minimum acceptable requirements for the planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure within the Municipality. They are intended to guide both municipal capital works projects and privately led development projects.
Standard Construction Specifications (SCS)
The SCS establish consistent requirements for the design and construction of public infrastructure across the RMWB. This document provides a framework to ensure quality, safety, and sustainability in municipal projects while aligning with applicable provincial and national codes.
