Subdivision
Subdivision is the process of dividing a property into new parcels of land, also known as lots. It’s an important step in land development and must follow both provincial regulations and municipal bylaws and policies.
Subdivision Application
If you’d like to subdivide your property, you can apply to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Lot Consolidations
A lot consolidation occurs when a property owner combines two or more parcels of land into a single legal parcel. To consolidate parcels, you must contact the Alberta Land Titles directly, as this process is not managed by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
Civic Addresses
All residences and businesses must have a civic address registered with the Municipality. This ensures timely emergency response, helps customers find your business, and allows Canada Post to deliver mail. The Municipality maintains a civic address database to support services and share with partners such as Canada Post.
