The bargaining committees for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and CUPE Local 1505 met on July 30 and 31, 2025. There are approximately 900 employees in the CUPE Local 1505 bargaining unit, who work across a wide range of departments. They play a vital role in delivering municipal services in the region.
Both parties exchanged their ingoing bargaining proposals. Consistent with usual bargaining practices, the parties were able to agree on current language items, and some minor changes to the Collective Agreement.
