2025-010 Appeal Against the Approval of a Development Permit for a Change of Use - Group Home

TAKE NOTICE, that that the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo has received an appeal against the Approval of Development Permit No. 2025-DP-00308, an application for a Group Home (Adult Female Recovery Home) – Change of Use, at the property known as Lot 2, Block 18, Plan 8320288, being 208 Blanchett Road, Fort McMurray, Alberta.

In accordance with Section 686(2) of the Municipal Government Act, the Board must hold an appeal hearing within 30 days of receiving a Notice of Appeal. To maintain jurisdiction, the Board will convene a preliminary hearing to open the appeal and adjourn it to a future date to be determined.

The Preliminary Hearing has been set as follows:

Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2026

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Format: Virtually via Microsoft Teams

The virtual participation link and instructions will be provided to the parties via email on the day of the hearing. 

Please note:

The Board will not hear any submissions regarding the merits of the appeal at this preliminary hearing.
