Construction: Fort McMurray - South of Bridge

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will be starting flood mitigation construction work in Reach 9 beginning on June 22, 2026. This notice provides information about the upcoming work, trail closures, expected impacts, and safety measures within the project area.

The Municipality will be installing new sidewalks along Greely Rd. on both sides of the street from the entrance to the mobile home park to the crosswalk in front of the schools.

Flood Mitigation - Reach 6 Contract 1 consists of the construction of an earth berm from Riedel Street to Longboat Landing along Clearwater Drive and underground storm sewer improvements at Alberta Drive and Marshall Street.
