Candidate List for 2025 Election becomes official
Election day is Monday, Oct. 20. Advance voting begins Oct. 3.
The list of candidates for the municipal election and school board trustee election in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is now official.
The deadline for candidate withdrawals has passed, and the final list is available online. The available positions are listed below:

Election Day is Monday, Oct. 20, 2025 and advance voting opportunities begin Oct. 3. During advance voting, you may vote at any voting station. On election day, you must vote within your specific ward. Voting station locations for the advance vote and election day are available on the “For Voters” webpage at rmwb.ca/election.
