FireSmart Vegetation Management projects –Saprae Creek
FireSmart treatments will be conducted in Saprae Creek to manage vegetation. This planned spring work was rescheduled and will be conducted this fall. The project will thin and prune trees and clean out debris in high-hazard forested areas within two parcels totalling almost three hectares.
All work will be complete with hand crews. Firewood may be available to the public as the project progresses. Please follow all signage, keep a safe distance from workers and equipment and do not enter closed areas.

Smoke may be visible during burning operations. Some trail areas may be closed to residents. Please follow all signage, keep a safe distance from workers and equipment and do not enter closed areas.
Community Benefit
FireSmart uses preventative measures to reduce the wildfire threat to homes and communities while balancing the benefits of wildfire on the landscape. Firewood may be available to the public as the project progresses.
