Flood Mitigation-Miscellaneous Underground Upgrades-Outfall 3

Introduction:

Construction crews will be completing necessary upgrades to existing underground infrastructure in downtown Fort McMurray. The intent of this work is to provide the RMWB with a system that allows the Municipality to manage and control spring runoffs during high flood risk events. Work will be taking place in the parking lot at the end of Richard Street, pictured in the image below.

Parking & Vehicle Access:

East parking lot at River Park Glen will be impacted.

Parking lot:
The parking lot will be closed starting Monday, June 23 and remain closed until August 22, 2025

Sidewalk closure:
The asphalt walkway will be closed intermittently due to construction. Trail closed signage will be posted during the time of the closure.

Special Instructions for Residents:

Please obey all posted signage when travelling through construction zones.
