Gregoire Storm Outfall Structure-Replacement of Storm Outfall

Introduction/Area Impacted:

The Municipality is replacing the Gregoire storm outfall structure and piping to improve the capacity of the storm drainage system to prevent flooding in Gregoire and Mackenzie Blvd areas.

The road allowance and utility right-of-way between 345 Sakitawaw Trail and the Hangingstone River in the Gregoire Industrial Park will be affected during the earthworks and landscaping program associated with the newly installed concrete outfall, concrete inlet chamber and storm sewer main.

Project Details/Background:

Note that the new concrete outfall, concrete inlet structure and new pipe works downhill from the Centennial RV Park to the Hangingstone River have been completed.

Remaining works for this season include the demolition and removal of old infrastructure, final earthworks and landscape remediation.

Community Benefit:

Upgrade of the storm sewer system to reduce the risk of flooding.

Construction Impacts:

There are no residential or commercial impacts because of construction. Access to businesses on Sakitawaw Trail will continue to remain open during the project.
