Let’s talk housing in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo
Share your thoughts and take the survey today!
The Municipality is conducting a Housing Needs Assessment to better understand and respond to the diverse housing needs across the region. The resulting strategy will be shaped by input from both urban and rural residents, with opportunities to share feedback until Friday, Sept. 26.
Aligned with the Municipal Development Plan (MDP), the Housing Needs Assessment will take a detailed look at the current housing landscape in the region, and resident feedback will play a key role in ensuring the strategy reflects region-wide housing needs. This will help organizations that support local housing initiatives with future planning.
Housing is a shared responsibility with other levels of government, with the Municipality overseeing the planning and development of new housing projects by the private sector and community agencies.
