Line painting set to begin across the region May 10

Watch out for wet paint—follow posted signage and give crews room to work

As spring line painting gets underway, drivers are reminded to use extra caution on the roads. Weather permitting, scheduled work in both urban and rural areas should be completed by early June.

Line painting is typically completed in the evenings and overnight to minimize disruptions, but temporary lane closures or slow-moving traffic may still occur. Drivers are advised to avoid crossing freshly painted lines whenever possible, as the paint can transfer to vehicles and affect the quality of the markings.

Crews use highly visible equipment and signage, but public cooperation is essential to keep everyone safe and ensure the work is completed efficiently.
