Notice of Public Hearing: Bylaw 23/016 Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TAKE NOTICE that Council of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Jubilee Centre Council Chamber located on the 1st Floor at 9909 Franklin Avenue, Fort McMurray, Alberta, regarding the following matter:

Bylaw No. 23/016 – Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan

Bylaw No. 23/016 proposes to adopt the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan (DARP) which has been created in response to changing social, cultural and economic conditions, and replace the current City Centre Area Redevelopment Plan for the areas illustrated in the below DARP boundary map.  The proposed Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan was developed with input from residents, stakeholders and Indigenous partners, as the key policy document to guide future development and facilitate the downtown’s revitalization over the next ten years.
