Paramedics wanted: Launch your firefighting career with the Fort McMurray Fire Department
Are you a paramedic ready for your next big challenge? The Fort McMurray Fire Department (FMFD) is looking for highly skilled Primary or Advanced Care Paramedics who want to take their careers to the next level – by becoming certified firefighters.
Multiple new recruits will be hired and paid to train as firefighters through FMFD’s Fire Cadet program -- a unique, fully funded opportunity to earn your NFPA 1001 Level I and II certifications while on the job. Primary or Advanced Care Paramedics that do not have fire training are eligible to apply for the program.

Anyone who meets the minimum requirements and is passionate about helping others should apply online soon. You may also apply if you are currently completing paramedic training and are able to write the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) exam by Nov. 12.
