Recent EMS response not impacted from road conditions

Regional Emergency Services (RES) responded to call for medical assistance yesterday evening on Shalestone Way.

Firefighters provided emergency medical services, with an ambulance and fire truck dispatched. EMS personnel assessed the patient and provided support. The patient did not require transportation to hospital.

As seen in posts shared on social media, a fire truck did get stuck briefly on Shalestone Way at the scene of the call.

When there are access concerns for emergency personnel, winter maintenance crews work 24/7 and are dispatched immediately to support emergency responses.

In this case, RES personnel were able to care for the patient and did not require support from winter maintenance crews.
