Resident injured in Gregoire neighborhood mobile home fire

A resident was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries as the result of a mobile home fire on Grant Way on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 19.

Fort McMurray firefighters arrived to the Gregoire neighbourhood scene shortly after 1:30 p.m. with two pumpers and a ladder truck, as well as with EMS crews and other emergency responders.

Firefighters conducted an offensive attack and were able to bring the main fire under control in a short time. Despite their efforts, the structure received major fire, water and smoke damage and is considered a total loss.

Firefighters were on the scene until after 3 p.m.

Regional Emergency Services fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
