RMWB accepting applications for summer and co-op student positions

We’re hiring! The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will soon be accepting applications from full-time post-secondary students interested in gaining valuable summer or co-op work experience with the Municipality.
Select summer and co-op student positions will be posted online tomorrow, Feb. 21 with an application deadline of March 13, unless otherwise specified in individual job postings.
Additional positions will be posted in the following week with an application deadline of March 20.
Summer employment typically runs from early May through the end of August, while co-op placements may be offered at various times throughout the year.
There are positions in several municipal departments including:
- Community Services
- Human Resources & Safety
- Legal Services
- Planning & Development
- Environmental Services
- Regional Emergency Services
- Corporate Services
- Public Works
Summer student applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution. Please note this on your application.
- Have completed a minimum of one year of post-secondary studies.
- Be returning to full-time studies in the Fall 2026 semester.
Co-op student positions are available for students enrolled in a co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
