RMWB Council Swearing-in Ceremony & Organizational Meeting set for October 29

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo invites community members to attend the Swearing-in Ceremony and Organizational Meeting of the 2025-2029 Council elect on Wednesday, October 29 starting at 6 p.m.

The event will take place at SMS Equipment Place Grand Ballroom, MacDonald Island Park. The public are welcome to attend in person to witness the official start of the new Council term. This event is free and registration is not required. The ceremony and meeting will also be available on the RMWB YouTube channel. You can also find a link to the stream and more information about Council at rmwb.ca/council.

The evening will include the formal swearing-in of Mayor and Council, followed by the Council’s organizational meeting to establish the structure and procedure for council operations for the upcoming year.
