Introduction:

The Municipality is preparing to continue construction on the Saunderson Pressure Reducing Station in the downtown area of Fort McMurray. Crews and construction activity is ongoing.

Project Details:

As part of the Saunderson Pressure Reducing Station Project, work will resume on Saunderson Avenue, Saunderson PRV station and surrounding area. There may be periods of interrupted access to allow for construction activities. Please follow all signs and watch for workers and equipment.

Community Benefit:

This project will improve the water flow to communities south of the Urban Service Area which includes Saline Creek Plateau, Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates, Saprae Creek Estates and the Fort McMurray Airport. The station also creates opportunities for a redundant (back-up) supply of water in the event of an emergency.

The parking lot behind MNP building, west of McMurray Inn and Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association may have periods of interrupted access to allow for construction activities.

Please obey all posted signage when travelling through construction zones.
