Saunderson Pressure Reducing Station – October - November 2025

 

Introduction:

The Municipality is preparing to complete deep utility rehabilitations and upgrades in your neighbourhood. Crews and construction activity is actively ongoing.

Project Details/Background:

As part of the Saunderson Pressure Reducing Station project, contractors will resume operations on Saunderson Ave, Saunderson PRV station and surrounding area. There may be periods of interrupted access to allow for construction activities. Please follow all signs and watch for workers and equipment

Community Benefit:

This will improve the water flow to communities south of the Urban Service Area which includes the Saline Creek Plateau, Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates, Saprae Creek Estates, and the Fort McMurray Airport. The facility also creates opportunities for a redundant (back-up) supply of water in the event of an emergency.

The parking lot behind MNP building, west of McMurray Inn and Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association may have periods of interrupted access to all for construction activities.

Please obey all posted signage when traveling through construction zones.
