Updates to Transit routes and extended hours starting Nov. 28
Join the Transit team at an Open House on Dec. 3 or other upcoming in-person engagements
Transit riders can expect improvements to transit services in Fort McMurray at the end of November. These changes are based on ridership data and reflect feedback received from riders, operators and the public since the launch of the new Transit system in August.
Service updates
These transit service updates will take effect Nov. 28:
- RMWB Transit On Demand hours will be extended to 11 p.m. every day. All trip bookings must be made before 10:30 p.m.
- Route 6 (Thickwood/Timberlea) will run until 11:30 p.m. and no longer service Abraham’s Landing (Updated Route 6 Map)
- Abraham’s Landing will now be included in the Timberlea On Demand Zone
- Route 4 (Beacon Hill/MacDonald Island) will be re-routed along Manning Ave., adding service to Canadian Tire and Walmart (Updated Route 4 Map). Anyone who uses Route 4 should plan ahead and review the updated route map and schedule before this change takes effect.
In addition to updates to routes and hours, we continue to make internal operational adjustments to improve the transit rider experience.
