Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom is the local chapter of the National Communities in Bloom program. This non-profit organization’s mission is to inspire communities to enhance the quality of life and our environment through people and plants to create community pride.
Communities in Bloom initiatives include Seed of the Year, Community Gardening Day, volunteer appreciation events, & Nominate Your Neighbour (Summer & Winter). Our community regularly participates in national and international CiB challenges.
Spotted a home or business glowing with holiday cheer? Whether it’s a yard full of twinkling lights, a festive window display, or a winter wonderland that brightens your evening drive, we want to celebrate the people who light up our community during the long winter nights! Community members are encouraged to nominate residents and businesses that brighten our neighbourhoods with festive lights and decorations during the winter months.
Selected photos may also be featured on the RMWB’s social media channels.
Check back here starting on November 16th to submit your nominations!
