Anzac Walking Path Expansion and Enhancement
Introduction:
The Anzac Walking Path Expansion and Enhancement project will improve local walking paths with new asphalt trails, benches, garbage and recycling bins, drainage improvements, culvert upgrades, crosswalk painting and landscaping. Work also includes replacing and installing culverts, adding erosion protection and removing unsuitable soil materials.

Project details/background:
The project will be executed in two phases:
Phase 1: Construction along Hopegood Dr., Townsend Dr. and Park Dr. from May 19 - October 30, 2026.

Phase 2: Construction along Gregoire Drive, Donovan Dr., Stony Mountain Road and Hilyard Crescent from May 3 - October 30, 2027

Community Benefit:
This will be a new trail system, so there will no longer be a need to walk on the road, reducing public safety concerns.
Construction Impacts:
Driveway Interruption:
There will be culverts crossing some private driveways. This will be coordinated with the individual homeowners starting in the week of May 25.
Laydown Yard:
This project will use a temporary Laydown area to facilitate its successful completion. The proposed laydown site is located on municipal land off Highway 881 in front of Stony Mountain Road.
