Beaton Place Infrastructure Rehabilitation – Phase 1A
BEATON PLACE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Introduction:
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is providing an updated construction schedule for the ongoing sidewalk, curb and gutter, and driveway apron work on Beaton Place.
The contractor was temporarily away from Beaton Place for approximately one week to respond to urgent work in another area. Work has now resumed, and the updated anticipated schedule is provided below.

Phase 1 – 229 to 301 Beaton Place
- Sidewalk: Complete
- Curb and gutter: Complete
- Driveway aprons (between the road and the sidewalk): Concrete placement anticipated August 29 to September 3
Phase 2 – 173 to 225 Beaton Place
- Sidewalk: Complete
- Curb and gutter: Anticipated completion September 4 to 9
- Driveway aprons (between the road and the sidewalk): Anticipated completion September 9 to 14
Phase 3 – 157 to 101 Beaton Place
- Sidewalk: Anticipated September 11 to 21
- Curb and gutter: Anticipated September 19 to 26
- Driveway aprons (between the road and the sidewalk): Anticipated September 25 to 31
These dates represent the contractor’s current anticipated schedule and may be adjusted depending on weather, site conditions, concrete curing requirements, and construction progress.
Driveway Access
Once new concrete has been placed for sidewalks, aprons or driveways:
· You will not be able to park in your driveway for approximately three (3) days.
· Please do not walk or drive on the new concrete during this time.
Residents should park on the street while the concrete cures. Municipal Enforcement (Bylaw Services) has been notified and parking tickets will not be issued for on-street parking related to this construction.

What work will be completed during Phase 1A?
During this phase, the contractor will:
- Remove the existing sidewalks
- Construct new 1.5 m wide sidewalks shifted toward the roadway
- Restore portions of driveways where required to improve drainage and repair areas impacted by sidewalk construction
Please note: Driveway restoration will vary from property to property. The amount of driveway replacement has been designed based on site surveys and drainage requirements and will therefore not be the same for every home.
